Giving Back

Shipping Connects the World.
We Want to Help It.

Cargo World is proud to announce that we will soon be donating a portion of our advertising revenue to carefully selected global children's charities - because the world's most vulnerable young people deserve a voice, and a chance.

Mission Statement

The shipping and logistics industry is the backbone of global trade worth trillions of dollars and touching every nation on earth. Yet the some of the communities closest to its busiest ports and trade corridors can often be among the world's poorest. Children in these regions face poverty, lack of education, food insecurity and limited access to healthcare.

We believe that as a publication dedicated to the business of global trade, we have a moral obligation to use its reach and platform for good. That is why Highgrove Media through it's Cargo World platform, is building a charitable giving programme, funded directly from the profits of our advertising revenue, to hopefully elevate the lives of the communities in which this great industry thrives.

"The global shipping industry transports the goods that sustain our modern lifestyles. But behind every trade route, every port, every container there can be communities, families and children who deserve far more than what they have. Cargo World exists to inform and update the shipping and logistics industry. We also believe it is our duty to help it do better."

— Andrew Williams: HIGHGROVE media - owners of cargo world.

Cargo World: Our Commitment

Children First

Every child deserves access to clean water, food, education and safety, regardless of where they were born. We believe the global shipping and logistics industry, which connects every corner of the world, has a unique responsibility to give back to the communities it serves.

A Global Reach

From the ports of West Africa to the waterways of Southeast Asia, the shipping lanes that power world trade pass through some of the most vulnerable communities on earth. Cargo World is committed to using its platform to shine a light on those communities and support the charities working within them.

Transparent Giving

Every year we will publish a clear breakdown of how a portion of our advertising revenue profits are allocated to charitable causes. Our readers and advertising partners will always know exactly where the money goes and the real-world difference it will hopefully make.

How It Works

01

Advertising revenue is generated

Revenue generated through advertising and sponsorship in Cargo World Magazine and on the Cargo World website contributes to the pool from which charitable donations are drawn.

02

A portion is ring-fenced for charity

A defined percentage of net advertising profits will be set aside each quarter specifically for charitable giving. This is not a token gesture! it is a structured, ongoing commitment.

03

Funds are distributed to vetted partners

Donations are made directly to our selected charity partners, all of whom are registered, audited organisations with transparent reporting on how funds are used.

04

We report back to our readers

Highgrove Media, through the Cargo World platform, will publish an annual Giving Report detailing the total donated, the charities supported and the impact this has hopefully achieved.
